Proposal abstract:


S4EeB will add the parameter of “occupancy” in the monitoring and control systems of energy in buildings and surroundings to optimise the models and eliminate unnecessary consumptions of Lighting, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, maintaining the user's comfort with the implementation of a network of low-cost microphones strategic distributed in the main areas of an Airport and the development of available acoustics technologies and well configured will listen sounds to identify human presence, type of occupancy and recognise activities and will provide service to support the operation of maintenance, demonstrating that the energetic save and benefits justify the financial investment, raising a new market of solutions for the construction sector and potential regulations of awareness and reduction of climate change.

Imagine a lighting infrastructure where lamps provided light only when a vehicle or person appears in the car-park, and the indoors environmental conditioning always operates at the intensity appropriate for the context (occupancy, activities, weather conditions) in order to optimise energy efficiency, maximise usability, security and user comfort, and minimise the cost and maintenance of the systems.
